You The Jury, Judge Jeanine Pirro‘s new primetime show on Fox, which premiered two weeks ago, is tanking in the ratings. During Friday night’s episode, the show performed well-below the average in the key 18 to 34 demographic, losing a lot of its lead-in audience from Rosewood. In fact, this week, the new 9 p.m show dropped even further from its April 7th premiere garnering just 1.2 million viewers and putting it well below highly-rated cable shows and making it the lowest-rated show on CBS, FOX, ABC and NBC that night.  CBS’s Blue Blood and Hawaii Five-O were the night’s big primetime winners. Both shows brought in more than 8 million viewers with the first-season finale of MacGyver not far behind with 6.6 million viewers.

The new legal show, which airs Friday nights at 9 pm, is a reality series which allows the audience to vote in realtime on civil court cases. Prior to its launch, the program was hyped as an “American Idol” meets “Judge Judy.” But, it seems the audience just isn’t feeling it — or at least not yet.  High-profile attorneys Jose Baez (of Casey Anthony fame) and Benjamin Crump (Trayvon Martin’s attorney) star as prosecution and defense.

This week’s episode featured a dispute over a Facebook post in which an Atlanta man posted a picture with a co-worker’s young son which sparked racial comments from his friends on the social networking site.  The show’s star, Jeanine Pirro, also hosts Justice With Judge Jeanine which airs on weekends on Fox News. She is a former judge, and District Attorney from New York.
