The jury is in its third day of deliberations in the sexual assault trial of Bill Cosby. The actor and comedian has been supported during the case from some of his costars from “The Cosby Show,” including Keshia Knight Pulliam, who played youngest daughter Rudy Huxtable on the hit sitcom that aired from 1984-1992. Pulliam accompanied Cosby to court for the first day of the trial, where Cosby is accused of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in his Philadelphia home in 2004. Pulliam joined NBC’s “Today Show” on Wednesday to discuss the man she grew up working with.
“I truly believe you’re innocent until proven guilty and that’s just not the man that I ever experienced,” Pulliam said. She explained her support by saying it comes down to how she would feel if she was facing a difficult time. “How would I want to be treated?” she asked. “It’s easy to be there for someone when things are good … I wanted to to what I would have wanted to receive.”
When asked how she would feel about Cosby should the jury find him guilty, Pulliam said, “I’m going to have to cross that bridge when I come to it.”
