In a speech to a revved up California crowd, Donald Trump was on the attack against the presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton over her private email server. This time, he took it a step further promising that, if elected, the Attorney General would “take a very good look” at what she did.
“I don’t believe our country can let her get away with this crime. I don’t believe it, so we will see,” Trump said to the crowd at a rally in San Jose. “You know what, if they do let her get away with it, it will be a big topic of conversation on the campaign trail. I can tell you that, folks. Then if I win, it’s called a five-year statute of limitations. If I win, everything is going to be fair, but I’m sure the Attorney General will take a very good look at it from a fair stand point, okay.” Trump didn’t indicate which law he believes she violated that has a five year statute of limitations.

The remarks come after Clinton went on the offensive Thursday in what has been called a “savage, mocking evisceration of Donald Trump.”
“He is not just unprepared. He is temperately unfit to hold office that requires knowledge, stability and immense responsibility,” she said during a foreign policy speech.
