Stormy Daniels‘ attorney Michael Avenatti said overnight that he now represents three more women who say they were “paid hush money” through “various means” before the 2016 election to remain silent about relationships with Donald Trump.
Avenatti dropped the news while on a panel in West Hollywood, Calif. and later said more on Twitter.
“There are three additional female clients of mine that have not been disclosed that were paid hush money prior to the 2016 election, whether it be from Michael Cohen on behalf of the president, an entity that Michael Cohen formed, or AMI [Entertainment],” he said, according to ABC7.
He said one of the women claimed she was pregnant.
“Three additional women. All paid hush money through various means. Time for Michael Cohen and Donald Trump to come 100 percent clean with the American people. All the documents, all the tapes, NOW. No more lies or lip service,” Avenatti tweeted early Friday, EST.
According to the Associated Press, Avenatti said he would not go into specifics about his clients because they did not give him permission to do so. He did say they were “paid hush money prior to the 2016 election” and had relationships with Trump.
As he did on Twitter, Avenatti criticized Trump and Cohen for playing games.
“They should release the information to the American people now. Enough with the games.”
Cohen’s new attorney Lanny Davis notably called Avenatti an “aggressive attorney doing his job in the middle of litigation.”
“I have been there, done that. An attorney in litigation is just that, and until the litigation is over, I’m not going to comment on the words used,” he said.
Avenatti responded to this as well.
We would be remiss if we did not mention that Avenatti said he would “absolutely” run for president and “defeat” Trump if the Democratic Party does not find the “right street fighter and the right person.”
