Domeanna Spell was last seen getting on a school bus last week, and now her family has no idea where she is. They do believe, however, that they know who she’s with. The 15-year-old student from Port Barre, Louisiana has reportedly been linked to Cory “Shane” Disotell, 47, and is believed to have run off with him. Local police have been looking for her, and now the FBI is involved as well.

“She’s been missing since 7 Thursday morning. She left from school and we already knew who she left with,” sister Jerrie Cradeur told ABC News.

Police say Disotell, who was a family friend, would ask for Spell to babysit for his granddaughter as a cover for them seeing each other. The family eventually found out it was a ruse.

“Come to learn there was no granddaughter,” Cradeur said. “They had that secret relationship going.”

The family reportedly went to authorities weeks ago after learning about what was going on. They discovered that Disotell was sending text messages to Spell that concerned them.

“He told her that he loved her, and stuff like that,” Cradeur said.

The family started searching for her by going door to door around the neighborhood. Now the FBI is involved, along with Port Barre Police, the United States Marshals Office, the Louisiana State Police, and the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. The FBI warned that Spell could have altered her appearance by now, and that she could be in a silver 2003 Honda Civic. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is encouraged to call 1-800-CALL-FBI.
