Warning: the videos are NSFW, as they contain racial slurs.
Two videos of an unidentified white woman unleashing a wild racist rant in downtown Kansas City, Mo., is making waves on the internet.
Drake Lewis, 21, filmed the video of this admittedly intoxicated woman hurling racial slurs and him and a friend named Sam on Wednesday. The woman has not been identified, so for the purpose of this article and in line with the trend of alliterative nicknames in situations like this, she will be referred to as “Downtown Darlene.” [Credit goes to my colleague Ronn Blitzer for coining this one.]
Indeed, there has been a string of incidents of late involving white women who are filmed accosting African-Americans as they attempt to live life. “Key Fob Kelly,” “Gas Station Gail,” “BBQ Becky” and “Permit Patty” are now household names at the internet’s perpetual meme party.
“Downtown Darlene” could be heard in all of her repugnance telling Lewis and his friend that they are “niggers.”
This was the second video.
“So yesterday me and my homie Sam were out taking photos in the power and light district via KCMO when we overheard this lady say ‘these (expletive N-word)’ when we walked by,” Lewis tweeted. “I told her not to say that and then I started recording.”
Lewis told the Kansas City Star that the incident was “really random” and that he and his friend were taking pictures when they heard “Downtown Darlene” uttering racial slurs.
They approached her and filmed what happened next.
Things instantly escalated, with Lewis’ friend telling “Downtown Darlene” to “shut her hick ass up.” He also called her an “ugly bitch.” The “outraged” friend is Samoan-American and is often a target of racial slurs, Lewis said.
“You’ll be all right, you’ll be all right, motherfucker, you’ll be all right,” she said “It is what it is. I’m a white fucking cracker, you a caramel nigger. You’ll be all right, bitch. Get the fuck up outta here!”
The men said she was drunk and she replied, “Yeah I’m drunk, fuck you. Fuck you and white horse you rode in on, bitch, with your orange and red shoes. Get the fuck out of my face!”
It’s not immediately clear if this woman is still employed after this incident, but she has yet to be officially identified.
