Woman Arrested After Alleged Bank Robbing Spree

Police say 22-year-old Brittney Alexander is one of two women linked to a banking robbing spree in the Houston, Texas area. On Saturday, she was booked on a count of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

Prosecutors filed charges last week. They say that on May 1, Alexander and another woman walked into a Chase bank, and handed over a threatening note to the teller.

“This is a robbery,” the paper reportedly said. “I have a gun. Give me all the money and nobody will get hurt! Put it in an envelope.”

Witnesses said both women wore hats and casual clothes, and were on the phone. Investigators believe they were talking to a least two male accomplices waiting outside in a car.

Investigators say Alexander may be linked to four more robberies in the following two weeks: one on May 8, and three more on the 10th.

The investigation remains ongoing.
