Wild Off-Campus Stripper Party Leads to Student Evictions, Security Guard Fired

A wild party at an off-campus housing community near Georgia Tech University has resulted in evictions and new security measures. Residents of the Square on 5th apartment complex in midtown Atlanta brought strippers to their building’s 25-floor clubhouse Saturday night, along with other non-students. Now, two students believed to be responsible have been evicted, and a security guard who let the party go on for more than an hour has been fired.

“This [party] surprisingly went on for a long time,” Sara Pagliocca, who has lived there for two years, told WSB. “Knowing that people can get up there does concern me.”

Harry Conley, CEO of Gateway Facility Services, the building’s management company, called what went on “outrageous,” and said that an internal investigation revealed at least some of the responsible parties. Conley said that the day after the party, residents again brought strippers to the building, supposedly for a photoshoot on the roof. “While the primary failure here seems to have been one of human error in judgment, we are taking lessons from this to ensure that nothing like this can ever happen again.”

The building is reportedly adding security cameras and may put security guards through additional training.
