A nail salon owner in Ohio got into a fight with a customer over a broken nail. Cleveland police say video shows Ty Dang manhandling Adeshola Mohom, but witnesses and commenters are debating who was actually in the wrong.
Authorities say that on Tuesday, Mohom returned to the Fantasy Nails salon because a nail apparently broke after a recent manicure, according to a New York Post report. Deng reportedly told her she had to wait until another customer was helped. Things got bad. Cursing, yelling, shoving, pushing, as seen on the video above.
Deng appears to stop Mohom, who is struggling, from leaving the store.
“Kick me one more time, and see what happens,” the owner said after she kicked him. He appears to square off against her, as if preparing for a brawl. “Mess with me and you’ll lose two teeth.”
She complained he was stopping her from leaving, and later stated up to four people jumped her.
“I know my rights in this country,” the disgruntled customer said. “Nobody can hold me against my will.”
But some customers in the salon appeared to be taking Deng’s side, and told Mohom to calm down.
He told WOIO he was just trying to everyone in the salon, including the disgruntled customer, safe, until police arrived. Nonetheless, he said he now wishes he’d just let the cops handle the incident.
No charges were filed.
