Suspects Drive Pickup Truck Through Gun Store in Wild Smash-and-Grab Burglary (WATCH)

Using a truck as a battering ram: That’s certainly one way to break into a gun store. Six male burglars slammed a stolen F150 through a “heavy-duty security wall” at the L&R Armory in Kissimmee, Florida, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

As seen on video, the truck is driven backward almost all the way into the store. R.I.P. security wall.

It happened back on March 28 at about 4:07 a.m., said the sheriff’s office in a statement obtained by Law&Crime. Burglars made off with handguns and rifles.

The probe is over a month old. Investigators said they were able to catch three of the burglars within the first two days: 18-year-old Jimmy Abu Johnson, a 17-year-old male suspect, and 18-year-old Reikwon Jah’neil Kiyan Bell.  Nine stolen firearms were recovered, deputies said. The identified defendants are from Pine Hills in Orlando, and it is believed the three unidentifed suspects are from the same location.

Osceola County records show that Johnson and the 17-year-old defendant are fighting the accusation. They are scheduled to go to trial in July, and face charges of armed burglary of a structure with a firearm, first-degree grand theft with a motor vehicle resulting in damage, and criminal mischief. The 17-year-old also faces a count of possession of a firearm by a minor.

Court records for Bell, now 18, apparently remain sealed in juvenile court, and the status remains unclear. A spokesperson for the Osceola County Clerk of the Circuit Court told Law&Crime on Wednesday that the 17-year-old’s case is being treated as a felony, which would explain why his records are available.
