When most restaurant customers get angry about service, they leave snarky Yelp reviews. But two people in Baxley, Georgia are accused of going on the attack. Warrants are out for the arrest of Nathaniel and Latasha Smith for assaulting a restaurant owner and her 15-year-old daughter.
“Got another doctor’s appointment this afternoon,” mother Jeanette Norris told WJCL. “Got a broken nose so I gotta go have it taken care of.”
Surveillance footage obtained by WSB-TV shows Norris apparently getting into some sort of argument with a man in a red hat. Then another woman in a black hat rushes over and thrashes her, striking multiple times. Norris’ 15-year-old daughter can be seen stepping out of a nearby pick up truck, and apparently said something to the suspects. In response, the man struck her in the face with a right cross, knocking her back.
This all allegedly started over some sort of dispute about service. Norris said the Smiths were regulars at her restaurant. Now she’s contemplating leaving the industry altogether.
“Do I want to put myself, my employees, or my child at risk just over food?” she said. “That’s so stupid, so senseless.”
