‘Put Some Pants On, This is Awkward’: Naked Couple Allegedly Found in Car with Stolen Gun, Badges (VIDEO)

Police in Gallatin, Tennessee released some, well, revealing bodycam video this week, showing an encounter between an officer and a naked man and woman he found in a car. Authorities say Officer Darren Rager responded to report of an unconscious driver on December 28, only to find Brett Clark, 27, and Valerie Wilson, 24, inside.

“Why are you naked?” Officer Rager can be heard saying. “Put some pants on, this is awkward.”

The bare pair was arrested on several felony charges, after a search of the Chevy Tahoe turned up a number of allegedly stolen items, including a gun, knives, multiple badges, jewelry, cell phones, and DVDs. Police also found a prescription bottle with urine in it, and a plastic bag containing white powder, that they allegedly said was the dietary supplement Benefiber, used as fake heroin. Police also said that Clark and Wilson admitted to having addictions to meth and heroin, which is why they were living out of their car.

Valerie Wilson was already on probation for thefts in Colorado, as well as drug charges, Janell Wilson of the Gallatin Police said.

Hendersonville, Tennessee police also told local WKRN that the couple were suspects in several burglaries.

They are now facing charges of possession of drugs for resale, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property, and sale of a counterfeit substance.

“We never did find out why they were naked,” Wilson said.
