Nothing to see here. Just your average, everyday, racism-filled rant on a New York train. Footage recently put on Facebook shows a white man going on a loud rant, calling a passenger a “monkey motherfucker.”
The footage was posted by an account in the name of Aneesa Janat Rafeek. In the post, Rafeek wrote that this blow up happened on the 9:53 p.m. Long Island Rail Road train from Penn Station to Long Beach. It went on for 10 minutes before the man left for another car.
According to Rafeek, the man complained about a black woman speaking on the phone. “Not loudly in my opinion as I was sitting only diagonally from him and could not hear her,” she wrote. Nonetheless, the man began mumbling under his breath, and then he began yelling at the woman “being a loud mouth b!tch [sic].” He yelled at the first woman and a second black woman, and called them “Monkeys.”
As seen on video, the man yells “Shut the fuck up, you fucking loud-mouth monkey motherfucker.”
Look, we’re not even going to try transcribing this entire thing. It’s a 1,000 wpm argument between New Yorkers. But you get the idea.
The woman, who is off-screen, is yelling back at the man, telling him to “shut the fuck up.”
“I can’t listen to your black ass no more,” the man says.
The man also addresses a second person, calling this individual and the first woman “twin idiots.”
The first woman calls him an “ignorant white n—-” for”calling people monkeys.” He calls her a “loud-mouth bitch,” and the woman answered back, “like your mother.”
He shot back, “Do you know who your mother is?” He says she doesn’t know who her parents are “because you’re a fucking monkey, that’s why.”
Rafeek said footage doesn’t show him getting in the woman’s face to scream at her. She claimed to have spoken with a friend who reported having a similar experience with the man.
The LIRR said the report is being looked into.
“This language is offensive, completely inappropriate, and has no place in our society, let alone on the Long Island Rail Road,” said a statement obtained by Law&Crime. “The MTA Police are actively investigating this report.”
