Judge Awards $36 Million in Bobbi Kristina Brown Wrongful Death Lawsuit

images-via-tinseltown-and-shutterstockOn Thursday, a judge awarded $36 million to the estate of Bobbi Kristina Brown in a wrongful death lawsuit. Brown, the daughter of singers Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, fell into a coma in January, 2015 and died the following July. The conservator of her estate successfully sued her then-fiancé Nick Gordon.

The money will cover things like punitive damages, pain and suffering, and medical damages, according to TMZ. Gordon did not show up to court.

Investigators in Fulton County, Georgia are still investigating her death. An autopsy released in March 2016 that found evidence that drugs and drowning played a role, but couldn’t determine if it was accidental or intentional. At the time, Gordon’s lawyers told the county district attorney to drop the case.
