Chipotle, that oh-so-tasty fast-food chain, is getting eyed by a California U.S. Attorney’s office for an August Norovirus outbreak. The Feds handed them a subpoena to investigate why people got sick at a Simi Valley, California, location.

Norovirus is known as the “winter vomiting bug.” Fun. Company spokesman Chris Arnold said they’ll help out in this criminal investigation, but they won’t publicly discuss pending litigation.

Chipotle, who, no joke, makes really good steak burritos, have faced other recent health scandals. October and November E. coli outbreaks have been linked to their restaurants. Norovirus also spread from a Boston location in December. The Co-CEO Steve Ells suggested that they may never discover which ingredient caused the E. coli.

The Mexican Food giant has not been charged with any crimes related to the Simi Valley incident. The company promised to increase their standards in response to the, uh, issues.
