36-year-old Jennifer Rae McClary used to be cop, but investigators claim she robbed a bank on Tuesday.
The Danville Police Department in California said they arrested her soon after the incident.
McClary then reportedly handed the teller a note demanding money. No weapon was displayed during the crime. McClary fled the bank on foot and was last seen near the intersection of El Pintado Road and Diablo Road.
Investigators soon turned her up, and she was booked on charges of robbery and possession of a controlled substance.
Police said it is McClary in bank surveillance footage wearing a hat and sunglasses, with a beard drawn on her face.
She served with the Los Angeles Police Department from 2006 to 2008, and worked at the Placentia Police Department from 2008 until she was fired in 2010.
“She was a probationary officer with us,” Placentia police Sgt. Bryce Angel told CBS SF. “She worked for us just shy of 18 months, and then she was terminated for failing to make probationary standards.”
Jail records obtained by LawNewz.com show that McClary was sent to the Martinez Detention Facility on $100,000 bail.
