Police have made an arrest after disturbing video showed a large group of young women fighting in a street until a the driver of a car decided to plow right into them.
Video, of the incident shows a brawl between several young people that took place in Griffin, Georgia on Wednesday. The action spilled out into the street, where a car can be seen driving into the crowd.
Five people were reportedly injured.
“I’ve not seen anything like that in my life,” an eyewitness told WSB-TV, describing “young girls bleeding, people laying in the streets. ” The witness also said an older woman in a wheelchair had been knocked over.
Police arrested Shameka Sharell Peoples, the suspected driver. Peoples is reportedly the mother of one of the girls in the fight.
One mother told WXIA that her daughter suffered a broken pelvis, back, and hips. She said the initial fight had been between her daughter and Peoples’ daughter.
