Model Blac Chyna‘s ugly breakup with Rob Kardashian is dragging the rest of his family into court. A February 2020 trial date was set on Tuesday in her lawsuit against Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian West, Khloe Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner. She claimed that the reality TV clan unlawfully interfered in the contract for her show Rob & Chyna. Blac Chyna’s attorney Lisa Bloom said on Thursday that if the Kardashians try digging up dirt against the plaintiff, then it’s going to backfire.
“I tell her, just like I tell other women, and my sexual harassment or assault cases: You don’t have to be a perfect person, and have lived a perfect life to stand up for your rights, and try to get justice,” Bloom told Law&Crime host Julie Rendelman. “Yeah, the other side is going to try to bring up some ugly, nasty thing from your past, and guess what. What all have that. But in the Me Too era, juries really don’t want to hear that. They don’t want to hear about something you did five years ago. They really don’t want to hear it, and so I think if the Kardashian-Jenner family tries to do that in our trial, it’s really going to backfire on them.”
We’ll see how things go in depositions and trial. The Chyna-Rob already stretched back for quite some time. It hard to get messier than their 2017 break up. The Kardashian brother famously dragged his ex on social media, posting nude pictures of her, and accusing her of cheating on him.
Chyna (legal name Angela White) lawyered up with Bloom amid the debacle.
“Mr. Kardashian, you are now on notice: revenge porn is illegal,” the attorney wrote in a statement at the time. “Cyberbullying your ex is harassment.”
The couple have a daughter together. Rob & Chyna ended after one season.
